هي الكلمة التي يتضح معناها من صوتها . نقول في الانجليزي:
Lions’ roar و في العربية "زئير الاسود" ، the hissing of the trees و بالعربي "حفيف الاشجار" عندما تلفحها الرياح .. كما نقول في العربي "صهيل الحصان" و "صليل السيوف" و "خرير الماء" الخ الخ و هي موجودة ايضا في الانجليزي

EXAMPLES OF ONOMATOPOEIA:


'splash' sounds similar to the noise of something falling into water.
الصوت الذي ينتج من وقوع شيء في الماء
